A New Year, A New Start

Well happy new year to those who are bothered.
New year for me means it's time to make something of myself. Since 08 was full of crap for me and 09 was perhaps the worst year yet, I'm going to make 2010 the best year I can.
Let's start off with things.
I had an interview on the 5th with Caudwell in Stoke for a job as Applications Assistant. I attended, despite being 35 minutes late due to the ridiculous weather causing problems with transport, luckily they had problems too and weren't bothered that I was late. The interview went pretty well in my opinion. I got a call the next day saying that I had not been selected for the job but because they were "really impressed" and "Really liked me" they want me to go back there on Monday in regards to another position they have there that they believe I am perfect for. So with any hope come Monday I will have some employment.
I also have an interview at Hanley library on Monday, for a job which involves both general library duties and apparently I read that it involves teaching computer courses? WTF! So I guess it never hurts to have a backup.
Next, I bid my interest in a 2 bed flat to the council the other day, and it's literally about a 60 second walk from here. Whilst I need to get my finances in order first, it was an odd coincidence and I intend to follow through with it.
Last but not least; something has been catching my attention for the last month and a half or so. Something of great interest to me, that is putting a little extra sparkle in my step lately. I'm not going to tell you what that is, that would be... normal. But 2010 is my year, and I will conquer the world!
Oh yeah, I kind of... you know tweaked with the colours and banner a little. Freshen things up. Truth be told, I missed the redness and it just had to be brought back.
-Peace homies.
